I’m a marketing leader at Calvin University, where I serve as Associate Director of Marketing and Content Strategy. I have been a professional marketer for over 17 years.
I am currently seeking publication of my first card game, Last Laugh: A Dangerously Silly Card Game from Edgar Allan Poe. I am working on other game projects, including tabletop games and content for role-playing games. I self-published free downloadable characters you can use in the dark, pirate-themed RPG Pirate Borg. I’m currently working on a Pendragon RPG adventure I will publish in Chaosium’s Companions of Arthur program in 2025.
I take on some freelance editing projects. I have edited academic essays, a fantasy novel, and over 800 blog posts for the brands of HarperCollins Christian Publishing. I have also produced episodes for a handful of podcasts.
Education. I hold a Master of Arts in Design from Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD); an MBA Certificate in Design and Innovation from KCAD; and a BA in English from Calvin University. (I also studied theology and biblical literature for a time at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.)
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with my wife, the reporter Rachel E. Watson.
